Nurse

Under the direction of treating, the nurse will provide support, assessment, education and planning services to the families and clients who are experiencing mental health challenges. The nurse will utilize nursing skills and knowledge in the applications of nursing theories and practices in accordance with standards of care. The nurse will engage in a therapeutic partnership with clients and family members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Completing essential assessment (taking brief history, vital signs, weight and height) and reassessment of patients.
• Handle the triage of patients to assist in appointment booking and other services as needed.
• Monitor and follow up high-risk patients as instructed by the physician and keep a complete record of medications on all cases per the standard of care.
• Manage after visit activities for the patients including communication with patients about assignments and tasks to be completed and keeping track for all such activities.
• Participate in the care of the therapy groups under the super vision of the treating physician to provide patient education and instructions as required by the physician.
• Established a compassionate environment by providing professional support to patients.
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health, outcomes against patient care goals and regulatory standards.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering infection control policies and protocols across the organization, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient records as appropriate.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Ensure operation of equipment by competing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team activities and adopting a pro-active approach to problem solving.
• Participate and assist in general administrative tasks as needed or required by the management.

• Ability to work effectively in a team.

• Competency in standard software applications.
• Strong communication and conversational skills.
• Must be fluent in both English & Arabic.

Qualification and Experience:

• Bachelor of Nursing Diploma degree.
• Minimum of 1-year experience.
