General Ledger Section Head

GL Section head :
is responsible for supervising all general ledger accounting activities, and efficiently and effectively manages cash conversion cycle to monitor it to give real time actions that contribute to increased profitability.

He also is responsible for preparing financial and performance reports, assisting departments with annual budgets 

He  will be responsible for setting Andalusia’s financial targets and support follow up on revenue achievement.

• Develops and maintains monthly reporting.
• Reviews to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards.
• Responsible for overseeing the performance of cost and revenue departments and to consolidate cost budget and revenue targets to form the monthly business plan and monitors revenue achievement while challenges.
• Monthly accounting closing (Accruals, Prepayments, Provisions, fixed assets, Bank reconciliation, Exporting data of AP, AR to GL and recurring entries).
• Support the financial statement close process through timely and effective review of journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepares and reviews association financial statements, P&L variances, bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Responsible for overseeing all aspects of general ledger (accounts payable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, cash applications, taxes, stock control, cost control, budgeting and payroll).
• Prepares Monthly and Quarterly balance sheet and income statement.
• Identifies and records income and expenses by accounting periods and follows accounting schedules by preparing accruals, prepaid schedules, or receivables schedules in a timely manner.
• Prepares monthly cash flow forecasts.
• Prepares financial statements and other reports to summarize and interpret current and projected company financial position.
• Maintains system of accounts and keep records on all company transactions and assets.
• Assists with annual budgets – prepares all allocations; Coordinate monthly closing process and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards; processes, internal & external controls at all times.
  
  
   

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Egypt legal laws & regulation.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting including at least 2 years as Chief Accountant or Accounting Supervisor.
• Preferred MBA Holder degree in Finance.
• Accounting Supervision (or) Chief Accountant Preferred Experience in a Healthcare Organization.
• Previous Financial Analysis Experience.
• Potential to lead and motivate others.
• The ability to work as part of a team and to build strong working relationships.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Capacity to make quick but rational decisions.
