Description:
  • Accountable for the creation and application of a business-aligned long-term category and sourcing strategy for the Country in scope.
  • Development of an annual pipeline of strategic category initiatives leading to Y-o-Y relevant savings ( CR & CA). 
  • Closely collaborating within the eco-system of procurement professionals located in EMEA to drive results such as cost reduction in a proactive and strongly result-oriented manner.
  • Understanding business priorities and challenges and ensuring successful realization of the category strategies by building strong partnerships across geographically dispersed stakeholders and engaging with local Procurement. Also being able to interact with diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Proactively driving/supporting demand management to reduce our overall external spend with third parties and for positive impact on bottom line -e.g. total workforce management, energy efficiency, utility bill management or implementation of vendor machines in the production sites (Integrated Supply Chain Solutions).
  • Working closely with suppliers and local procurement and other relevant functions on the implementation and further improvement of 3rd party risk management solutions such as Data Privacy or overall supplier qualification programs. 
  • Ensuring a robust approach to supplier management, establishing value creation targets and reporting of supplier performance, developing innovation programs, managing supplier risks and conducting regular business reviews. 
  • Supporting the roll out of digital procurement tools such as Ariba guided-buying, Fieldglass, punch-out catalogues and the Amazon Business marketplace to ensure a high level of hands-free ordering and a reduction of tactical sourcing to the minimum in the countries using SAP Ariba.
  • Support the transformation of the centrally managed logistics Saudi team to serve across the businesses in offering an efficient and centralized logistics operations with an overview of the logistics operations across the organization leveraging the full volume in negotiating with freight forwarders, custom brokers, as well as establishing relationships with relevant local authorities.
  • Be part of the review of the performance delivery of team and service provide/suppliers via frequent KPI supported reviews.
