  • Set up operations on a large vertical honing machines to hone internal surfaces of objects, like cylinders, bearings and honing procedures
  • Read route cards and drawings order for product specifications, like dimensions, tolerances and number of parts to be honed, speeds, feed rates, work-holding fixtures and tools to be used
  • Secure fixtures on machine table, using squares, steel rules, micrometers and wrenches
  • Use dial indicators, micrometers, and other standard and special precision inspection equipment to set up, adjust and check dimensions
  • Lift workpiece manually or with hoist and positions and secures fixture with clamps wrenches, stops with wrench for control of cuts and operate tool-feed rate of spindle
