Description:
  • Direct the Outbound Operations to ensure accurate and timely picking, packing and shipping processes of all orders with maximum efficiency
  • Monitor daily processes to ensure productivity objectives meet company standards
  • Ensure all picking and picking cut-off times and priority exceptions are met
  • Control mis-ship and backorders and locate missing product as needed
  • Arrange daily/weekly meetings with staff as appropriate to review overall team/individual performance
  • Monitor daily, weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to track success and/or recurring problems
  • Retain qualified and motivated workforce
  • Develop personnel to ensure appropriate back up/successors in all key positions
  • Provide oversight while evaluating employee performance, handle disciplinary issues and maintain an environment of respect and accountability
  • Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools
  • Review current or future trends that indicate possible gaps in outbound functions and make recommendations based on findings
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; possess a sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks and resources appropriately
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, 3-5 years experience in fulfillment operations with management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with performance metrics, lean tools and process improvement (how, when, who)
  • Multi-tasking, excellent communication, supervisory and customer service skills
  • Management of a minimum of 10 associates (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment)
  • Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple FCs
  • Shift work will be required, potentially to include nights, weekends and Public Holidays
  • 6 day work week
