RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the scrum team in using Agile methodology and scrum practices
• Helping the product owner, client success team and development team to achieve customer satisfaction
• Lead the scrum and development teams in self-organization
• Remove impediments and coach the scrum team on removing impediments
• Help the scrum and development teams to identify and fill in blanks in the Agile framework
• Resolve conflicts and issues that occur
• Help the scrum team achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
• Support the product owner and provide education where needed
• Work closely with the Client Success team to efficiently resolve client tickets, contribute to client satisfaction and identify items requiring improvement to be added to the product backlog
• Uses continuous improvement and progress tracking principles to ensure teams are prepared for product showcases/demonstrations
• Hold team retrospectives and ensure impediments that are outside of the team’s control are appropriately escalated
• Ensure backlog grooming takes place on a regular cadence
• Work with team to identify capacity to ensure they can meet deadlines
• Participate in discussions related to trade-offs to bring in new work
• Manage the setup, management and iterative improvement of the Jira workflows and processes that drive delivery
• Works within Agile execution principles with daily standup facilitation and impediment tracking/escalation
• Active participation in the maturation process of the Agile model and methodology within Trufla
• Track velocity, effort and financials for delivery

ABOUT YOU

As an experienced scrum master, you are dedicated to fully realizing the potential of Agile/Scrum framework, and you understand that the purpose of process is to deliver both quickly and with high quality. You are responsible for ensuring your team lives agile values and principles and follows the processes and practices set out for them. You’re passionate about facilitating daily scrum, sprint planning,sprint demo and retrospective meetings,  and it’s important for you to be comfortable with managing and resolving conflict. You are an expert communicator and you use your great skills to bring your team together. You are also passionate about estimating and planning. You’re extremely well organized and can balance multiple tasks and competing priorities. You put your team first and look for opportunities to coach team members on best Agile delivery practices.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in the Scrum Master role for the delivery of software or technology.
• 3+ additional years in software development or quality control
• First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I)
• Extensive experience in the setup, configuration and ongoing optimization of Jira for efficient delivery
• Knowledge of numerous well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
