| Description: | Responsible for managing an organization’s ‘soft services’. These are usually defined as including custodial duties, pest control, grounds-keeping, as well as special projects including office relocations in a facility. Supervise equipment maintenance and optimal functionality.Monitor key performance indicators related to goals set for soft services management to ascertain how effectively and efficiently stated goals are being met. Play a key role in budgetary concerns by controlling costs for staff and outside vendors and subcontractors. Create and maintain schedules for staff and procedures associated with soft services delivery and completion. Implement supervisory procedures for the employees. Oversee the prompt delivery of incoming mail to the facility and ensure that the mail is delivered to the proper recipients.Oversee all third-party activities associated with soft services performed for the organization. Assume responsibility for local laws, governmental regulations, and code compliance associated with facility management. Deeply involved with continuous quality improvement and establish guidelines and protocols focusing on consistent improvement of the delivery of services by third-party vendors and subcontractors. Serve as front-line troubleshooters in anticipating and identifying potential problems and acting quickly to resolve them.Create procedures for problem prevention and intervention. Create and present reports to management as well as for third-party vendors and subcontractors, which reports serve to coordinate communicate communication between the organization and outside vendors for measuring key performance indicators with respect to stated goals as well as ensuring budgetary and regulatory compliance. |
