| Description: | Knowledge, Skills and Experience• Consistent high-quality delivery of swimming lessons, swimming activities and classes to residents across all NEOM Communities as required • Assist residents in reaching their individual and group swimming goals • Assist in maintaining and improving the overall targets and aims of NEOM Community Services Recreation • Ensure the safety of all participants in swimming lessons by using appropriate buoyancy aids and equipment • To plan and follow lesson plans and schemes of work • To be able to continually assess the swimming progress of participants and put them in appropriate groups • To use a variety of techniques and practices to help residents achieve their swimming goals • To use appropriate progressive practices as part of swimming lessons • Instruct and demonstrate how to perform a variety of strokes and water skills • Daily checks of equipment to ensure all is in a safe condition for use • Deliver high quality on going training to Life Guards • Ensure a register is taken before each lesson to ensure participants are in the correct lesson • Pass on all swimming lesson enquiries to the swimming lesson lead • Ensure teaching area is tidy at all times and equipment stored properly at all times • Provide class attendance and individual student progress upon request by line manager • To communicate with parents and swimming lesson lead in regards to progress • Overall responsibility of all students in their lesson • Implementation of the standard operating procedures at all times • Assist with other recreation activities when required Qualification• High school diploma or equivalent • Computer literate • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Strong level of spoken and written English due to the high levels of communication involved in this role • Internationally recognized Lifeguard Qualification (RLSS / STA) • Internationally recognized Swimming Teaching Qualification (ASA / Swim England / STA) • Minimum of 3 years swimming teaching experience • Customer focused |
