Visual Merchandiser

• Arrange  furniture, merchandise, backdrops, or other accessories, as shown in prepared display.
• Change or rotate window displays, interior display areas to reflect changes in inventory or promotion.
• Consult with store managers, sales staff  to determine appropriate placement of displays.
• Develop ideas or plans for merchandise displays or window decorations.
• set up displays, furniture, or products in store space, using colors, lights, pictures, or other accessories to display the product.
• Consult with  sales staff to determine type of merchandise to be featured and time and place for each display.
• Collaborate with others to obtain products or other display items.
• Obtain plans from display manager and discuss their implementation with manager.
• Supervise and train staff members on daily tasks.
• Install decorations, such as banners, festive lights,  on or in building and display
• Handling and Moving Objects Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
• Arrange artwork, products.
•  Change displays to promote new product launches and reflect festive or seasonal themes
• Research lifestyle, demographics and design trends

The ability to apply sound brand principles to projects and campaigns

Demonstrable visual design skills with a strong retail merchandising portfolio

Knowledge of current visual merchandising trends and best practices

Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
