Financial Department Manager – Construction Company

This position falls within the executive management team, and entails the following responsibilities:

• Spearheading a financial department restructuring plan and implementing it.
• Exercising leadership, direction and management of the company’s accounting department.
• Managing the processes for and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and completion in a timely manner.
• Short-term & long-term financial planning.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
• Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timelines of all financial records, ensuring all income and liabilities are accurately recorded, reconciled and reviewed.
• Generate financial reports and statements for senior management to review.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
• Monitor expenditures, analyses revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
• Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentations.
• Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
• Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
• Involvement in hiring process of new members of the department & technical evaluations of new employees
• Handle banking & financial institutions relations including credit facilities, bonds & accounts management.

• Previous experience in a construction company
• Managerial expertise
• Fluent in English
• Strong accounting background and knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards of (EAS)
• Details oriented
• Good communication skills and Problem solving skills
