Description:
  • Direct the organization’s overall supply chain operations, including purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. 
  • Evaluate past performance data to forecast needs and operation scheduling. 
  • Develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
  • Develop inventory management process through monitoring inventory days on hand, inventory aging, slow moving inventory, near expiry, and expired.
  • Contribute in providing data for business plan preparation.
  • Contribute in providing data for yearly, quarterly, budget preparation.
  • Provide necessary explanation for actual versus budget variances.
  • Define and implement comprehensive strategies for all aspects of the company’s supply chain to reduce costs, mitigate risk, improve quality, shorten lead times and reduce inventories
  • Contribute to the development of the overall organization strategy through providing supply chain inputs and insights.
  • Establish the supply chain management strategy that provides the direction for the short- and long-term supply chain direction and supports the achievement of the overall organization strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support to subordinates and the Supply Chain Management team so that the division objectives are achieved.
  • Periodically revisit the supply chain policies and procedures to ensure that they reflect changes in the operational environment and support the achievement of work.
  • Ensure the unification and applicability of the supply chain policies and procedures across the group different companies
  • Liaise with the HR to recruit, develop, appraise and motivate the division staff to achieve a competent and motivated team.
  • Support the Material Planning team in preparing the annual procurement plan and oversee its execution through working with subordinates and ensuring that their departmental plans are incorporated into the plan.
  • Support the Tendering team in identifying and driving strategic sourcing agreements with suppliers that contribute to operational cost savings.
  • Support the Contract Management team in negotiations on key procurement contractual / legal matters of significance to ensure optimum cost and reliable supply.
  • Monitor the overall purchasing performance and identify opportunities and synergies across the group different companies for optimizing purchasing costs and processes and work with the Purchasing team to implement these.
  • Support the Purchasing team to resolve critical disputes and claims with vendors and suppliers
  • Support the Warehousing Managers to optimize the capacity and use of warehouses by overseeing the implementation of an Inventory Instruction Manual specifying the warehouse storage plan, safety guidelines, etc.
  • Establish a system of reporting that provides critical and meaningful information and supports fast and accurate decision making.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of B.S Degree, preferable a higher /post graduate degree in a relevant area, and or Supply Chain Diploma certificate.
  • At least 15 years of experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the medical field. 
  • Excellent knowledge of ERP system.
