| Description: | Occupation Summary:Plan, direct and coordinate the organisation’s financial strategy and activities in consultation with senior management. Responsible for the financial reporting of the organisation. Represent the organisation externally in finance-related matters.Monitor performance:Monitor the performance of the finance function and its staff, ensuring sufficient training, addressing process and performance deficiencies and reporting on performance to the CEO.Manage budget:Oversee the development of the function’s budget and ensure it is adhered to. Report and explain any deviations.Develop strategy:Develop finance, risk management and treasury strategies, objectives and standards in line with the organisation’s overall strategy and objectives.Develop the financial strategy in line with the organisation’s overall goals and objectives. Determine financial needs, return requirements and risk appetite.Represent the organisation:Represent the organisation externally in finance-related matters. Maintain and build relations with shareholders, the investing public and other members of the financial industry.Lead function:Lead the finance function.
