Under the direction of the HOD, the Registrar of Plastic Surgery assists the Consultant/Specialist in the Inpatient and Outpatient Services of the Department of Plastic Surgery Examining patients’ files and taking their histories in order to provide them with the best surgical options. Providing a detailed description of the risks and benefits of surgery prior to the procedure. Preparing patients for surgical and non-surgical procedures. Prescribing medication like painkillers, antibiotics, and providing aftercare advice to patients. Monitoring the patient’s healing by removing stitches, inspecting the incision, and inspecting the incisions. Updating clinic policies and patient records as well as performing administrative tasks
Qualifications:	Skilled in reconstructive surgical techniques and maintain a steady hand under pressure Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. A sound understanding of patient aftercare and wound management Attention to detail and impeccable bedside manner. Active listeners who answer all questions in a non-judgmental manner and are able to ease patients’ anxieties. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
