Description: Our global retail client is seeking an Accounting Manager for their Riyadh operations.  Reporting to the Finance Director you will manage day-to-day accounting functions in accordance with the organization’s accounting policies and procedures including the payroll function and tax compliance. 
  • Participate in the development, and implementation of accounting policies, and procedures in order to establish better financial controls and compliance with IFRS and local tax regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate reporting of periodic financial statements in accordance with organizations’ accounting policies.
  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the maintenance of general ledger, sub-ledgers, accounting schedules, payroll details, and any other required accounting details.
  • Review and approve all financial reports generated by the accounting team to ensure accuracy and relevance to the recipients.
  • Manage and ensure the timely completion of the annual audit.
  • Review and approve all the payments including the petty cash payments, reconciliations between the general ledger and sub-ledgers balances.
  • Manage the petty cash disbursement, replenishment, and reconciliation
  • Provide technical expertise and advice on complex accounting issues, such as supplier prices and project cost escalations, to management to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
  • Maintain healthy and effective relationships with banks, other financial institutions, external consultants, auditors, and authorities.
  • Manage and ensure the safekeeping of all accounting records.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend the improvements to the accounting systems that will enhance the quality and effectiveness of the system.
  • Manage and ensure accurate data feeding to the payroll system and accurate calculation of monthly payroll.
  • Manage and ensure accurate data feeding to the payroll system and accurate calculation of vacation settlement and final settlement.
  • Manage and ensure timely processing and payment of all payroll-related payments ie. Monthly salary, salary advance, vacation settlement, final settlement, housing advances & car loans.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop the Accounting team.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in a similar role with at least 3 years experience in a managerial role.
