Description: Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares endoscopy room for elective cases.
  • Handover from unit if inpatient as per policy – SBAR.
  • Notifies the anesthetist and anesthesia technician once the patient is in endoscopy.
  • Assists the doctor during procedure.
  • Prepares specimen container containing formalin if needed.
  • Clear and concise documentation in Sedation Form.
  • Checks Crash cart daily as per policy.
  • Weekly checking of controlled drugs with Nursing Supervisor.
  • Sends used items to CSSD.
  • Orders of stocks needed in Endoscopy.
  • Keeps record of statistics and monthly reports and send reports to CQI&PS.
  • Complete admission process.
Qualifications:
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal relationships and work ethics.
