| Description: | Duties and Responsibilities1 Admits patients as the main responsible physician.2 Making Daily rounds on inpatient service.3 Documents the treatment plan with the admission notes, writes progress notes and / or co — sign junior staff notes.4 Supervises junior staff or performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures.5 Writes and/ or co — sign junior staff analgesic oploid orders after verifying for accuracy.6 Performs bedside teaching for junior staff, residents and fellows.7 Co — Signs discharge summaries and dictates death summaries for his patients.8 Provides primary out – patient care in two clinics per week as per schedule.9 Cover additional outpatient clinics of consultants on leave as per schedule.10 Participates in after hours and weekend on call duties as per schedule.11 Participates in granrounds, interdisciplinary palliative care meetings and regular department activities.12 Participates in organizing symposia and workshops related to his/her specialty as needed.13 Performs any other duties as assigned.14 Follows all hospital policies and procedures |
