Project Management Engineer

A passionate project engineer to manage multiple project streams to ensure successful delivery (on time, within budget, meeting agreed upon success criteria) by establishing clear goals and accountabilities; developing project plans and allocating resources; identifying potential issues/risks and developing contingency plans. 
 

Responsibilities & Duties

Project budgeting (RFP responses) including material resourcing, assembly, production timeframe, and outsourcing coordination

Create and review project plan, schedule, foresee and mitigate risks, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure timely deliveries

Supervision of Scheduled maintenance program & its implementation. Oversee and coordinate every moving part of a project (internal production, outsourced, market, and partnerships) 

• Review & approve engineering department requests
• Works with plant management to set actionable plans in place.
• Refines downtime collection process and supports plant staff in analyzing downtime, determining root causes and recommending long-term solutions.
• Leads plant efforts to reduce process variability leading to waste, rate loss or compromised quality.
• Facilitates process improvement teams and trains them in advanced concepts

Ensure cross-functional support, liaising with various functions to agree on priorities and execution

• Design office

• Client liaison

Fluency in production techniques to understand builds and how it will impact pricing and scheduling

Detect and implement ways to optimize, streamline, and ultimately improve operation and project practices

For example –

• Streamline utilization of Project Plans, GANTT charts, and Budgetary Tools or relevant documentations across departments
• Introduce any management methodologies and software recommendations
• Documentation consistency
• Implement established accountability structures (or improve upon)
