Application Security Specialist

We are seeking an Application Security Specialist with a startup mindset, focused on the security of applications and services, ensuring the security is properly tested, and a true culture of DevSecOps is in place, which includes mentoring and evangelization of the Dev Team with security best practices.  This position is based in Egypt, and will report to the Security Officer.

As the Application Security Specialist you will…

• Contribute with the technical team to define and develop high-quality, and secure data services and applications
• Collaborate with technical team to implement automation of Static/Dynamic Analysis, and to create a true culture of DevSecOps
• Perform dynamic analysis in special cases
• Own vulnerability management and push the remediation process
• Conduct threat modeling
• Provide security mentoring to the Dev team
• Develop Security Guidelines/Principles documentation for the Dev team

• The bachelor’s degree is ONLY ACCEPTED if and only if it is from either:
  • 4 years Egyptian Computer Science Faculty.
  • 5 years Egyptian Engineering Faculty (Computer department).
• For male candidates, military status should be either:
  • Final exemption -or- Completed.
• Under or postgraduate students:
  • Under graduate students hiring programs are not available.
  • Post graduate (in progress masters or PHD) hiring programs are not available.
• For more than 1-year candidates, there should be an experience certificate from earlier workplaces, or the equivalent. (Referencing phone numbers are accepted for 1-year candidates.)

• 4+ years of experience in application security
• Solid knowledge of OWASP, static/dynamic analysis, and exploit methods
• Experience in automation on AWS/GCP is strongly preferred
• Some development experience (preferably Java, Golang, C# or Kotlin)
• Certification in Ethical Hacking (CEH for example)
• Demonstrable teamwork skills
• Fluency in English required; fluency in Spanish a plus
• Agile, flexible, and responsive approach to work.
