Java Developer – Remote – Senior

At Gettechforce we help companies build their teams.   We currently have over 10 remote developers in Egypt and are looking to expand our team now, by looking for 2 remote  Java developers

The role will be Monday to Friday  – 9am to 5pm as the main development hub is in Europe.    After some time and when some trust has been built up, our other developers have moved to a Sunday – Thursday work week.

This is a full time role, but you will be a private contractor and responsible for your own taxes / insurance etc.    It will be 100% remote, so you can work from where ever you want. 

We are currently expanding our team in Egypt, so you will have access to our other developers and we plan on having nights out and events with other team members as we continue to grow.

We are seeking a Java Developer that is strong in coding, and also strong in Spring Boot Microservices, RESTful and JavaScript,

This is a vital role in the Company’s Big Data team; you will be given autonomy and freedom in your role.

Requirements:

• 3 years experience as a Java Developer.
• Degree qualification in a related discipline.
• Java 8 (or higher) and Spring Boot
• Experience with 1 or more of the following: Spock, Kubernetes, BASH Scripting or Postgres,
• Experience or knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
• Ability to work in a fast faced environment and comfortable with SCRUM Methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Having BDD or TDD experience is an advantage but not essential.

The role:

• Understand Design/Architect’s vision and effectively code for the company’s Big Data team.
• Offer feedback on Design and position yourself as an advisor within the Big Data team.
• Perform code review on your work and others as required.
