| Description: | Education and Experience Almost all restaurant human resources directors will have at least a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a similar field. Typically, only large or chain restaurants have a human resources manager or director, as the restaurant owner or manager typically handles most HR functions at smaller restaurants. Most restaurant HR directors will have at least a few years of restaurant industry-related professional experience under their belts. Screening and Interviewing Candidates The primary responsibility of most restaurant HR directors is to locate, screen and conduct preliminary interviews with employment candidates. This process can include placing advertisements, working with employment services, running background checks, verifying past employment and interviewing candidates. In most cases, candidates selected by the HR director are then given a second interview with the restaurant manager or department manager. Managing Benefits and Employee Liaison Human resources directors are also typically responsible for managing employee benefits and serving as a point of contact for employee questions or problems. Responsibilities in this area include keeping track of worker’s records, dealing with health insurance eligibility and premiums, calculating accrued sick leave or paid time off and dealing with problems between employees or between employees and management – 4-10 سنوات خبرة – مؤهل عالي – اعمال ادارية |
