Description:	The Director – Design & Estimation will oversee operational strategy and design of residential and commercial projects to ensure the execution from the conceptualization to the actualization of projects. S/he will be responsible for developing marketing strategies for the design & estimation team, meeting with clients, giving direction to staff, and monitoring the progress of projects and plans. Design & Estimation Lead projects from conception through execution, partnering with several other cross functional teams to develop compelling and effective design solutions Lead the Design & Estimation team across GCC and continue the upscaling of the AE brand. Review and approve design documents at various stages of project development. Interact with appropriate resources to plan and monitor the process to meet specified needs and resolve identified issues Be an expert in international design trends and specification. Bring a high level of design standards, practice and aesthetics to all design solutions and executions Lead the creation of innovative communication, while working responsibly within project time frames and budget parameters Drive close collaboration with Design, Estimation & Project Management team and help contribute to operational processes and workflow as teams and project pipelines grow Educate Project Management teams regarding design standards and guidelines. Assist in creating processes in how Project Management teams engage the design team Provide design support and guidance to Project Management team by interfacing with the design team and clients to address and communicate design related issues Identify opportunities to maximize efficiencies, get the best out of consistencies of the workplace across GCC and identify cost avoidance opportunities Build trust and rapport with the clients to create economic partnership. Attends client meetings with project management and sales team to understand specific requirements of clients Allocate designers and estimators to projects based on skillsets and availability in coordination with Design & Estimation Managers Support Design & Estimation Managers to create timelines for the design and estimate project cost Support the sales team by providing timely and accurate design and estimation services Review estimated prices and negotiates with existing suppliers / manufacturers if and when required Review and approve supplier materials and price lists on AE design software provided by suppliers and manufacturers General Continuously examines and recommends improvement opportunities related to service quality and operational processes to increase customer satisfaction Ensures collaboration within the design and estimation team to broaden the spectrum of skills and knowledge Ensures the team is compliant with company policies Ensures the confidentiality of the Company’s information and enhances the Company’s reputation Ensures the team has received appropriate trainings on sales techniques and relevant technologies and tools Analyze the technical training needs for the Design & Estimation team. Ensure that specific trainings (external or internal) are arranged through proper channel
Qualifications:	Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a relevant degree, from an accredited institution (Master is an advantage). 8 years previous experience in various roles of Design, Architect & Project Management Desirable knowledge using 3DS-Max, V-Ray, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD and other relevant design software Proficient user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Leadership and management skills Excellent client management skills Exceptional interpersonal, presentation and communication skills Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information User of ERP software, preferably in Microsoft Dynamix 365 Ensures maintenance of highest standards of professional conduct, ethics and integrity in daily operational engagement
