Automotive Lab technician

1. Assists faculty with classroom and/or Shop Lab area with set up.

2. Assists the faculty in the training and learning process both in classroom and lab areas.

3. Responsible for all the lab components and Checks-out and monitors special tools and equipment to faculty and students and repairs or replaces tools and equipment as necessary.

4. Maintains school training vehicles and keeps records of repair work done and disposal of vehicles.

5. Performs daily clean up of entire Auto Lab area and equipment.

6. Performs daily safety checks of heavy shop equipment and repairs, as needed.

7. Documents, organizes, and maintains records/ inventory on tools, parts, equipment, training aids, and training vehicles.

8. Maintains inventory on all equipment, reference materials, visual aids, classroom computers, classroom desk chairs, etc. in the confines of the auto program.

9. Performs renovation and updates of training aids equipment and tools and/or coordinates the repair of such by outside vendors.

10. Consistently and dependably attends work, activities, and functions as scheduled or assigned.

1. Knowledge of automotive technology sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.

3. Ability to communicate with faculty members, students, and/or customers in a courteous, professional manner.

4. Ability to work well with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
