| Description: | The Special Projects unit is one of two units within the ECA’s Special Projects and Outreach division, the other being Strategic Outreach. As Director of Special Projects you will— ? Report to the Executive Director of Special Projects & Outreach? Supervise Senior Specialists (in the areas of Child Development, ECD Policy-making, Child Welfare, and EC Workforce Excellence) and oversee a team of up to 8 members? Oversee the planning, design, budgeting and execution of all activities under Special Projects? Be supported by a Managerial Assistant? Be based in Abu Dhabi We value past experience in— ? Developing and leading strategic planning and oversight within a large, complex organization? Project Management or a strategy-related role in area of early childhood health, family support, or care and education.? Applying deep knowledge of ECD-related research and effective practice to inform policymaking, program development, and service delivery.? Facilitating effective and impactful stakeholder relations, especially in the areas of strategic decision-making, policy development, and service delivery.? Managing multicultural teams, preferably in both public and private sectors and within an international context. We are looking for the following educational qualifications (preferred)— ? Post-graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Public Policy, Medicine, Law, or equivalent.? Fluency in English (written and spoken) |
