Description:
  • Credit underwriters review and evaluate credit applications submitted by LO/Sales representatives to identify potential risks of the borrower
  • Conduct a detailed study of financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss) and other business documents to verify the creditworthiness of the customer
  • Generate and analyse all necessary reports (I-score, Fawry Score, turnover with FAWRY) to check the customer`s credit history and business performance
  • Verify the information from application form by phone call to the potential customer or via field visits to the customer’s business premises 
  • Ensure compliance with credit risk policies, standards, procedures and other internal regulations in lending operations and decisions taken
  • Prepare credit risk classifications and credit risk opinion in relation to the requested credit exposures
  • Decide on the credit exposure within his / her level of competence
  • Present the case and the identified risks to the credit committee members, if his / her authorization level is insufficient for an independent decision
  • Assist loan officers and sales representatives to verify the accuracy of information received and calculations made during the financial analysis 
  • Prepare performance reports related to applications approval / rejection rates, reasons for rejection, processing time of application, etc.
  • Evaluate the performance of loan officers and sales representatives in their ability to conduct proper financial analisys of potential borrowers
  • Identify and report suspicious transactions and decisions to management
  • Guarantee the confidentiality of processed information, both clients and institution
Qualifications:
  • University degree of economics / accounting / banking / finance  
  • Good spoken level of English (minimum Intermediate level)
  • Experience in financing / credit underwriting (2 years +) 
  • Strong analytical and logical skills
  • Good communication and presentations skills
  • Attentiveness to details
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Flexibility to travel on short assignments
  • Proficiency in using MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
