| Description: | JOB PURPOSE:§ Setting up the cost control system§ Evaluate project & operational Costs vs approved budgets Reporting Financial project progress. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: o Monitoring of Financial progress of the project during construction and operationo Reporting variances and likely impacts on the budgeted costs. o Responsible for ensuring all POs are charged to the correct cost code and following all expenditure against these. o Verify requisitions with cost center and accounto Register all variation orders into the relevant cost heads.o Assisting in allocations of costs o Preparation of invoicing o To ensure that the internal controls are effectively implemented and a robust financial control mechanism is in place.o Ensure appropriate coding structures are maintained and completeness of the project cost codes within the accounting systemo Assistance in establishing and updating budgetso Working closely with Accounts team to ensure accounting reports are adequately capturing the variances.Control project man hours and internal costs |
