Front-End Developer (Shopify)

ProfileTree is an award-winning content marketing agency based in Belfast, Northern Ireland who helps their clients generate leads and sales through structured digital strategy, sleek web design and engaging digital content.

An exciting position has become available for an experienced Web Developer to join the ProfileTree team. The successful candidate will get to work with Project Managers and web designers to create effective technical solutions for clients, with a focus on building bespoke WordPress themes and plugins.

We invite applications from suitably experienced web developers from anywhere in the UK and Ireland as we can offer full remote working to those not based in Northern Ireland.

Key responsibilities:

• Will be editing code within the liquid template on our Shopify website to improve functionality, CRO, and customer UX.
• Develop Shopify liquid template.
• Use CSS/JavaScript/HTML/Json/Jquery and APIs to improve the website – take control of front-end development.
• Use of custom fields such as Accentuate software. Develop Shopify code to replace apps we currently use.
• Add web pages as required with improved functionality than the existing theme offers.
• Improve page speed.
• Research best practices to ensure UX is optimised.
• Work closely with the SEO, and Web Design assistants to ensure pages are fully optimized.
• Help reduce bounce rate.
• Research and conduct competitor analysis to ensure we are competitive and leaders in our industry.
• A/B test to finetune website.
• Help create sales funnels and landing pages and monitor results.
• Monitor and track performance against KPIs.
• Keep up to date with trends and changes in algorithms across the platforms to remain competitive and front of mind for the customer.
• To support other areas of the growing business as required

• At least 2 years experience in a Shopify role.
• Experience developing custom themes/plugins/apps within the Shopify environments.
• Ability to develop effective working relationships, internally and externally.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A willingness to take responsibility for quality and deadlines.
• An eye for detail, proactive and able to take the initiative.
• A positive attitude, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results under pressure.
