| Description: | 3.1 Purpose of thisPosition• Assist Head of Finance oversees the activities of the junior staff andsupports further development of the corporate finance departmentthrough the delivery of high-quality financial services across thebusiness. Supports strategic decision making and policy formation in order to maintain a high performing department and build a high-achieving team. 3.2 Key Objectives • Ensure the Integrity of financial data, with sound financial analysis toassist the company’s decision-makers plan for future business strategy. 3.3 Key Responsibilities• Oversee the entire financial accounting functions, including, but notlimited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixedassets and taxes.• Meeting monthly and year end closing deadlines.• Assess current process workflow and procedures and makerecommendations for improvements and system automation.• Review and analyze the financial statements to ensure compliance,accuracy and completeness.• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as when required.• Coach and develop his subordinates, manage their performance, settinggoals, providing ongoing training and maintaining strong employeerelationships• Liaise with external auditors to ensure smooth year end closing and otheraudits.• Assist in the forecast and budget preparation process. 4.1 Competencies• Strong analytical, financial and accounting background, including anunderstanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flowmanagement and general finance and budgeting.• Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.• Has wide knowledge and understanding of budget management,accounting, and cash flow.• Exceptional communication skills both in written and verbal form.• Proactive requiring minimal supervision, and have a passion for teambuilding. |
