Description: Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct.
  • Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan.
  • Actively participates in all the education requirement and activities as per the Hospital Education Program.
  • Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract.
  • Supports the laboratory department’s hardware and data file maintenance as it related to application software.
  • Develops laboratory management report as requested in relationship to laboratory information system.
  • Prepares and maintains documentation, including laboratory system specifications and technical documentation.
  • Organizes and conducts end-user laboratory training, as needed, for assigned applications.
  • Participate in the regular/departmental meetings and daily presentation activities within the department for staff advancement.
  • Coordinates and supports the day-to-day aspects of all laboratory applications.
  • Designs and implements Laboratory Information System (LIS) both hardware and software or add new software applications to existing hospital systems.
  • Ensures laboratory computer/application, hardware/software processes continually function smoothly and are monitored.
  • Able to interface/integrate the laboratory equipments with the Hospital Information System.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in existing and future laboratory technology and applications.
  •  Proven experience in interfacing laboratory analysing device and third party systems with applications using HL7.
  •  Good understanding of web databases
  •  Proven ability to communicate effectively with users and staff who have a variety levels of knowledge, skills and responsibilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving techniques.
  • Should have proven record of developing mobile application and able to design and
  •  develop Model View Controller (MVC).
