Description:	Duties and Responsibilities Performs his/her duties and tasks as per Hospital Policy and Agreement on Professional Code of Conduct (GEN-GLD-002). Actively participates in all quality and performance improvement activities within the department/service and within the hospital as per Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan (GEN-QPS-003). Actively participates in all the education requirement and activities as per the Hospital Education Program (GEN-SQE-002). Performs other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the scope of practice and employment contract. Perform vein puncture and micro sample collection (capillary puncture) of blood samples, which includes sole responsibility for ensuring proper patient identification. Log samples in the Master Log of the Laboratory and separates serum and plasma from blood specimens. Deliver samples and request forms to the proper Section of the Laboratory. Prepare samples and forms to be sent to Referral Laboratories. Perform clerical functions such as answering the telephone, relaying messages to the proper Sections, separating & filing Laboratory reports. Share the workload and inventory control of Phlebotomy with other Phlebotomists. Maintain cleanliness and organization of any work area in the Laboratory where assigned. Maintain confidentiality of Laboratory and Medical Records at all times. Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times while interacting with patients, physicians, other hospital personnel, or coworkers. Perform other applicable tasks and duties within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities. Perform blood extraction for patient/donor from appropriate vein. Observe and evaluate the patient/donor situation during extraction.
Qualifications:	Able to express your ideas clearly & confidently in speech Knowledge of Arabic/English. Maintains effective performance under pressure.
