Junior Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps)

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer, with a startup mindset, who will focus on improving the application lifecycle, evolve system reliability, monitor application performance, and ensure the overall health of the engineering ecosystem. This position is based in Egypt and will report to the Lead Site Reliability Engineer.

As the Junior Site Reliability Engineer you will…

• Measure and optimize system performance in service of providing a top notch customer experience
• Keep the customer-facing services available at top performance by maintaining the constant health of the supporting systems.
• Develop processes to monitor the availability and provide an overall view of the engineering system health
• Maintain, and continuously improve existing infrastructure pipelines and components
• Participate in the evolution of Tribal’s technology and processes as we scale rapidly
• Champion core security and design principles as the backbone of our engineering

• The bachelor’s degree is ONLY ACCEPTED if and only if it is from either:
  • 4 years Egyptian Computer Science Faculty.
  • 5 years Egyptian Engineering Faculty (Computer department).
• For male candidates, military status should be either:
  • Final exemption -or- Completed.
• Under or postgraduate students:
  • Under graduate students hiring programs are not available.
  • Post graduate (in progress masters or PHD) hiring programs are not available.
• For more than 1-year candidates, there should be an experience certificate from earlier workplaces, or the equivalent. (Referencing phone numbers are accepted for 1-year candidates.)
• The CV must include:
  • Clear personal photo.

  • Recent information about education and work experience till the date of its sending.

• 2+ years of infrastructure or back end systems experience.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience with AWS is a plus.
• Adept in the development of automated tools, systems, and services in multiple technology domains
• Experience implementing and designing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.).
• Experience with scripting and programming languages like Bash, Python or Go.
• Experience with source control management systems like Git. GitHub or GitLab are a plus.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools. Terraform is a plus.
• Experience with Linux based operating systems.
• Familiar with micro-services and container architecture. Docker and Kubernetes are a plus.
• Familiar with Observability concepts.
• Hands-on experience in Production Support/Engineering
• Fluent in English required
