 We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk Manager in our Group Risk and Internal Auditteam

What you’ll do: 

  • Be responsible for developing and communicating the risk management framework, including risk policies and processes, 
  • Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organisation, which includes an analysis of the impact on the company when risks occur
  • Working with other Group functions to improve risk management processes 
  • Working with Senior Leaders to performing ongoing risk assessments, including but not limited to:
  • Analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company
  • Performing a risk evaluation: Evaluating the company’s previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements
  • Establishing the level of risk, the company are willing to take
  • Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience. (Educating the board of directors about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks)
  • Conducting governance, risk and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors
  • Work with the Global Operations Team to define standards related to managing key risks to the business
  • Manage key relationships with internal customers and stakeholders, responding to special requests for risk management and controls advice
  • Perform follow-up reviews to verify that necessary correctives actions have been implemented to rectify previously identified weaknesses
Qualifications:

Who you are: 

  • At least three years of professional experience in strategy, risk management, internal or external audit, relevant business processes and/ or excellent knowledge of the industry
  • Possess a strong knowledge of governance, risk management, IT, finance and commercial operations
  • Good knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and business processes; Ability to assess risks from a Business Manager perspective, take lead in finding solutions and works to effective implementation
  • Independently plan, organise and manage schedule and deliver factually accurate, professional and proactive reports
  • Ability to work with a minimum of supervision, demonstrated excellent judgment, self-driving, remain motivated under pressure and a “can-do” attitude
  • Good interpersonal skills to efficiently manage business relationships with a wide range of individuals; demonstrates ability to influence and enlist support
  • Able to undertake extensive travel across ISS world at reasonable notice; (25-50% usually for 1-2 weeks at a time)
  • Excellent English language skills; demonstrates effective presentation and report writing skills
  • University degree desirable
  • Professional Qualification from a relevant body (i.e. IRM, IIA, ACCA) or equivalent experience desirable
