| Description: | As the Agriculture Policy Advisor, you will assist the Regional Counsellor in increasing trade activity in a range of primary industries. You will develop policy recommendations based on data-backed research, expert interviews and stakeholder engagement. You will also provide assistance to the Counsellor when it comes to his diplomatic activities. Client Details The Consulate General of a nation looking to expand and deepen its economic ties to the GCC. Description Build research reports based on key economic, political and technological indicators related to trade in goods produced in the primary industries.Perform regulatory and policy analysis, alongside horizon-scanning to understand the current and possible future climate for the nation’s trade with the GCC.Develop and maintain contacts with media, regional government entities, trade organisations, think tanks and diplomatic counterparts.Support the Regional Counsellor on all his/her diplomatic arrangements and visits, with briefings, translations and meeting minutes.Represent the Consulate in trade conferences, consultations and events. Profile Must speak Arabic, with a deep knowledge of policy issues in the MENA region, especially the GCC.Stellar academic background in economics, public policy, international relations or agriculture.Strong communication and presentation skills (in Arabic and English); French is a plus.Experience working within or alongside National or Regional Government entities a plus.Excellent technical skills with a proactive attitude towards building research pipelines.
