Furniture Designer

We’re looking for a creative furniture/product designer to design furniture, candidate must be proficient in the following:

High end furniture design and execution

Shop drawings for furniture

Carpentry and wall paneling

Dealing with suppliers and workshops

Ability to get competitive prices from suppliers and comparing them to market prices

Ability to research and recommend good suppliers with good quality and prices

Following up on the execution process

Delivery according to industry standards

Must also be able to do the following:

• Receiving the customer order from sales department
• Selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal, Leather and textiles
• Generating sample designs using computer-aided design (CAD),
• Obtaining approvals from customers
• preparing detailed drawings to be used in production
• Explaining and resolving production requirements.
• Create technical drawings of products
• Create interior 2D plans
• Execute eye-catching presentations
• Attend meetings with clients, especially for turn-key projects
• Research materials and global trends
• Become involved in the design process and oversee the product’s execution from start to finish
• Make sure end product meets the expectation
• Sales work and dealing with clientsReviewing and following up the pattern of the Products
• Produce detailed working drawings and specifications.
• Revise and issue technical file of each order and send it to factory.
• Having a good knowledge of market trends

• Males only.
• Good English language (Writing, Reading, and Speaking).
• Professional Auto Cad 2D and Kitchen Draw user, Auto Cad 3D is preferred.
• Presentable
• Good use of email and the internet
• Fluency in Arabic language
• Fine arts, applied arts graduate, Furniture design is preferred.
• Good communication skills
• Experience in furniture.
• Previous experience in the furniture retail field/interior design required
• Ability to communicate clearly, work in a diverse team and meet project deadlines
• Creative thinking and great attention to details
• Can do cutting list work.
• Furniture technology; cutting optimization prog.
• Great taste in furniture and colors.
• Having full awareness of the brands
• Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design & Furniture, or Architecture.
• Customer Oriented.
• Strong sense of interior design.
• AutoCAD
• Age: 30-36 by max.
• Ability to work with a team and coordinate between departments
