General Accountant using Quick books online

Our accountants are responsible for making sure our top lines and bottom lines match. They need to give attention to every detail on every report and spreadsheet they review. We depend on our accountants to verify that all regulations are being followed in our other departments. Our accountants are expected to stay up-to-date on the Tax Code, meet all deadlines, and update the company on any changes in financial rules and regulations.

General Accountant Responsibilities and Duties

• Preparing accounts and tax returns
• Administering payrolls and controlling income and expenditure
• Auditing financial information
• Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements
• Analyzing accounts and business plans
• Providing tax planning services with reference to current legislation
• Financial forecasting and risk analysis
• Dealing with insolvency cases
• Work tends to be office-based, with working hours often extending beyond the regular nine to five at peak times, such as at the end of the financial year.

General Accountant Main Tasks

• Add Daily transactions to Quickbooks
• Manage All accounts payable to suppliers
• Follow up on accounts receivables from clients
• Maintain records of Custody with Employees
• Payroll accounting for Employees
• Prepare Cashflow reports Weekly
• Prepare tax reports monthly and as needed
• Create Monthly business reports for Investors
• Help in the costing of services
• Keep a profitability report up to date
• Organize archives of all Accounting records

• Quickbook online Experience
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Awareness of business trends
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
• Work experience as an Accountant
